trying not to labor on Labor Day :)

Hello friends!  Happy Labor Day!  My Labor Day weekend was wonderful and I am thankful that I was able to relax.  I have truly not done a whole lot this weekend {other than delve deeper in to my Pinterest addiction}.  Yesterday I did clean and take Roxie to the vet.  That damn dog costs me an arm and a leg every time we go there!  The vet did give her (and I) many compliments, saying everything looks good and healthy [and she is a perfect weight, so ha to everyone who thinks she is too skinny!], and has gorgeous teeth.  If nothing else, I can take care of a dog properly 🙂

Some lovely ladies came over last night to drink wine and gossip, which was fabulous.  I miss just hanging out and being social with my girls!  I got to see one of my good friend’s engagement ring which is SO exciting, I am beyond happy for her and her hubby-to-be!  I may have had one too many glasses of wine {and I am glad that Brandon was awake to answer my ridiculous texts at whatever time in the morning it was in Afghanistan}, but I think a good time was had by all of us 🙂

Speaking of Brandon, he should be home within the next month or so, which is incredibly exciting.  I think I said this before, but I can definitely tell we are becoming a bit impatient and are just ready for this deployment to be over!  Hopefully we can work out some sort of schedule between the two of us to spend as much time as we can together!

I am also looking forward to my sister’s bridal shower that I am planning at the end of September.  Not only am I super excited to see friend and family, I am also interested to see how people respond to my bridal shower theme.  I would expand upon that, but I would rather my sister know as little as possible right now 🙂  After the shower is over I will explain it all and post pictures for sure!

I am going to get back to enjoying my labor-less Labor Day!

Oh, I forgot to mention, I went to a photography class with my friend Megan, which was wonderful and I learned a lot about my camera…can’t wait to play with it more now!
